Elections 2016

The elections are coming rather soon, and there’s a great “disturbance in the Force” for the past couple of months, so I decided to give my 5 cents. Let’s be clear first – I am not a citizen, so I do not vote myself. I am, however, a rational, logical human being and I have my own thoughts on this whole thing. It’s a joke. All of it. A very bad joke. And let me tell you why exactly:

National Coming Out Day

Ladies and gentlemen. I have something very interesting today. The subject was started a couple of months ago by pretty inconspicuous posts (Post 1, Post 2), but I feel like today I need to expand the subject and make it a little more personal. Why? Believe it or not, today is the National Coming Out day in the United States and I am about to "get out of the closet" to all of you who care to read.

Sexual and romantic orientations

Hello again. Some time ago I had a conversation in which it became obvious that the person had no idea romantic orientation exists and that it is something different than sexual orientation. I mean... it's pretty common. Whenever we hear about heterosexuals, homosexuals etc. we associate their sexuality with who they are romantically attracted to. In many cases it is true, but in some other it's not. So, what does a romantic orientation mean? Is it even real? Can you be sexually attracted to someone, but want a relationship with someone else? Linux, Microsoft, and computer stuff

Ladies and gentlemen. Some time ago my laptop fell from a shelf, and is no longer fully reliable, at least not in my eyes. I am currently using a new laptop, and I realized how amazing this opportunity actually is. After doing a backup of all old things, I have proceeded with downloading and then installing a GNU/Linux (Fedora) operating system. And here is when the story for this post begins. Enjoy ;-)

Reddit and Voat

Ladies and gentlemen. Many months, or was it years…, ago I created an account on a website called Reddit. It was fun. Great pictures, quick access to news from around the world, political and scientific discussions. It's not exaggeration when I say I loved it there. So what happened. Why there is some mysterious Voat in the title? Why I'm using past tense? Let me tell you a story of censorship and freedom.

Sexual orientations

Ladies, gentlemen, and everyone else, after the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in 2015, when ban on gay marriages has been lifted, many people started "coming out of the closet" and informing parents and friends. I had my thoughts, some personal experiences, I read and talked with some people and I decided I should write a text like that. I learned something new over the last couple of weeks, and maybe you'll learn something from me now.

Norwegian and Aeroflot

Ladies and gentlemen, I know I wasn't here for a long time . You know how it is - school, work, going out with the dog, reading books, movies, TV series... in one word - time is running out far too quickly. I was recently in Poland, for the holidays, and during the return I thought it would be actually worth it to go back and start writing again. Like always I cannot promise anything, but today I'll start with the assessment of the two airlines I flew to and from Polish. Why? Because I'm absolutely disgusted by one of them and pleased with second.

Trump, Elections, Democrats

Ladies and gentlemen.
Recently I was going through someone’s page on Tumblr, and I saw an information “this page is not supporting Donald Trump.” So I thought: "ok," and then I decided I should make something similar. I don’t know why. Just because. Here you go:

I am absolutely not supporting any socialist or anyone even remotely connected to socialism. If that makes me a Republican and if that means I am supporting Donald Trump (all the other candidates are a pure joke with no chance of winning for me...), that’s totally fine. If that post will result in me losing “followers” - I can’t care less.

I came from a country which was under socialist rule for 44 years, from 1945 till 1989. World War II left us in ruin, socialism burned those ruins to the ground and destroyed the only thing that was still intact after Nazis - people’s spirits. It is now over 25 years after my homeland became truly independent from Soviets but more than half of the population still thinks same way they were thinking during socialism. Corruption, laziness, stupidy are everywhere. Therefore if any candidate will present socialist ideals I am going to oppose him whenever and wherever I can. Deal with it.

Before arguing with me please check history of Poland, especially after World War II.

                Ladies and gentlemen, I have not been active recently, I admit. I said I will… but I wasn’t. Life happened, you know? School, work, relationship… there’s just so little time for anything, even for sleep. Today I’m here just with a little observation, maybe later this week I will come back with other stuff, but don’t quote me on this.

Game of Thrones - Simplified Edition

I made a bet with someone that I will explain Game of Thrones in just 15 minutes. Here, below is what I managed to write in 12 minutes and 25 seconds + some cosmetic changes made afterwards. Will it help you if you watched the show? Maybe. Will it help you if you read the books? No. Will it help you if you never read/watched Game of Thrones? Certainly. It's an introduction to the subject, so that you'll get hooked on the idea of what and how plays together. Feel free to shoot me some feedback ;-)

Little story about working out

                At some point in our lives come this moment when we see someone physically better (Male Example, Female Example) and suddenly we feel this urge to go out there, to do all kinds of those interesting, weird-looking exercises, and when we finally go out… we notice that there are plenty of people who are better than us, and it makes us feel uncomfortable, and we feel we should go home. “Pizza doesn’t ask questions,” because “pizza loves unconditionally.” Or maybe it’s just me, I don’t know. Maybe most of you don’t have problems like that…

We are fully functional and getting to work

                It’s time to give you all some explanation as to why I have been so quiet, and as to why this blog even exists. If I would have more time this past few months, we would not meet here, so maybe it all turned good…? Well… What happened, happened and now it’s time to look forward to new endeavors. I have some more texts coming this way over the next weeks, but I cannot promise how many and how often I will post them.

Ladies and gentlemen!

I cannot tell you how happy I am to be here with you. This is a fresh idea, with nothing to back it up for now. This week I will be moving some texts from the other Blog here, so that we have some base we can go back to.

How will everything look like?
Well... you will certainly see, if you will stay with me here.
There will be a list, some info about me, tags for each text...
You will notice that texts from the past were long, and insightful (at least they attempted to be that way). In the future I can't promise you the same. I might post something short that I noticed whilst going around usual business, I might post a poem, I might post a picture with a caption... I honestly don't know yet. I will make it as worthy as possible for you to stay here, and I hope we will work it out somehow.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day… for me it has always been rather a singles’ holiday than a Valentine's Day. Every year already three days before this very "important" "holiday" the Internet is full of texts about love, hearts, teddy bears, flowers, sweethearts and something else. At some point, one is just terribly sick of it. From what I heard you should love someone the whole year, not just on special occasions... But oh well...

The War in Vietnam, military part

Ladies and gentlemen. Much time has passed since the last text about Vietnam, so today I would like to go back in there. This series deserves to be completed, especially since my dear colleague suggested in the meantime its extension for another text motivated purely socially. Well... For now I said that I will think about it, but let's firstly focus on the war. In the words of Clausewitz, "War is nothing more than the continuation of politics by other means." And with the politics we are already ended...

We're going around and playing Ingress

Normally I do not do it, because I think that games and movies have enough advertisements even without some weird blog articles. This time, however, I would like to share with you something new and something amazing. It is a game for smartphones, created by Google, in real time and in real world, designed for Android, recently put on iOS also (still are introduced modifications, because not everything was working correctly the first time ...). Ladies and gentlemen! I present to you Ingress!

The War in Vietnam, political part

                We’re coming back with the Vietnam War series and today we need to cover political machinations behind the war. Subject is interesting and necessary to understand the whole conflict and reasons of the U.S.’ defeat. This outcome did not come out of nowhere. It has been huge series of actions in the world politics which made U.S. unable to win and unable to keep the war going on. I’ll try to keep it short and on topic, but we will see how it goes ;)
